Dumpert IOS and Android apps
Objectives
Dumpert is the 2nd largest dedicated video platform in the Netherlands after YouTube. We were asked to create a new design for the Dumpert apps. This would involve creating a design that would work for mobile and tablet on IOS and Android.
The main aims of these apps was to increase the relevant app store ratings, sessions per user per month and video minutes viewed per session.

Exploring new style directions
While Dumpert's classic branding uses green and black they did ask us to explore a possible new direction. We used 'Style tiles' to explore numerous style directions and help us quickly have conversations about the design direction without spending hours and hours creating detailed page designs. In the end Dumpert went for the classic green and black, although refreshed, version.

User testing provided key insights
We quickly created a prototype of the home page and video page to show to real users. User testing highlighted how important comments are to the Dumpert experience. We updated the designs to allow users to scroll through the comments and watch a video at the same time. My direct contributions: Design lead on the project Wireframes Prototype building User testing Conclusions Designs were completed and implemented for IOS (phone and tablet) and Android (phone and tablet) We successfully improved the ratings of the apps on the Apple and Google play stores.
